This website sets no cookies, shows no ads and builds no user profiles. Personal data is only processed as far as needed to run the website and to answer your enquiry.

The website runs on servers of Railway Corporation (USA) and is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which also protects it against attacks. When you open a page, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable operation of the website). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

If you use the contact form, your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message are sent through my own email service (also hosted on Railway) and the delivery service Mailjet SAS (France) as an email to my mailbox at Google (Gmail, Google Ireland Limited). I only use this data to answer your enquiry and to arrange an appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) or (f) (answering enquiries). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this and no statutory retention obligations apply.

If your message includes information about your health (for example physical complaints or emotional matters), I process it only on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the box in the form. You can withdraw it at any time by email (Art. 7(3) GDPR); processing carried out before then remains lawful.

The contact form is protected against automated requests by Cloudflare Turnstile. For this, technical data from your browser and your IP address are sent to Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) to check that the request comes from a person. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (protection against spam and abuse).

The website contains links to WhatsApp. Only when you click one are you taken to WhatsApp; from then on, the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Limited applies. If you write to me on WhatsApp, I process your message and phone number to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). If you write to me there about your health on your own initiative, this counts as explicit consent under Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR.

To see how many people visit which pages, I use Umami Cloud (Umami Software, Inc., USA). Umami sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no profiles; the IP address is not stored. Only aggregated figures are collected, such as page views, country, browser and device type. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (improving the website).

The fonts are loaded directly from this server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider.

The website stores no cookies. At most, the language you chose may be kept in your browser’s local storage so it stays the same on your next visit. This information does not leave your device.

You have the right of access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). Just send me an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
